Another Romantic French Binding

School assignment. I’m not very happy with the result unfortunately, but oh well. I blame the leather ^^ *whistles*

Materials: leather, marbled paper, old book for the textblock, silk, cord, board, glues of different types.

This sketchbook is part of an art trade deal that I made with Kattvalk. She wanted a book from me and I wanted some drawings, so we decided to trade! She makes gorgeous drawings, check out her Tumblr!

Materials: 200 pages of 150g paper, book cloth, marbled paper, board, thread, glue.

Made for the christmas tree or wherever one would want to hang them :)

A Romantic French binding!

Due to some mistakes it is a little bit difficult to open this, and thereby difficult to photograph since it wants to close itself all the time. I made alot of mistakes along the way. But it’s pretty :)

An improvement from my first one, but still very visible mistakes. I’m happy with my improvement though :)

And heres a better photo of this one aswell. It deserved better. :)

Millimeter binding with a matching box.

We are finally learning how to make boxes now! It’s hard to make them match perfectly in size but it’s a lot of fun to make them :) The paper on the cover is marbled by me aswell. Fun fun!

A folder I made for the sweet Malin Mato Torbjörnsdotter at the end of last year. She was very happy with it and I’m so happy about that!!  I was so nervous when I sent it to her ^^
